Intel AI School Certification Initiative
The Coral Reef-Intel AI Education Initiative aims to equip schools with the tools and resources to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) into their curricula, transforming education for future generations.
This project will
• equip students with skills to develop AI applications,
• upskill teachers to teach AI concepts,
• provide pupils with AI & Sim enabled laptops,
• support the schools to establish AI labs, and ultimately smart AI classrooms.
Selected teachers will be trained as INTEL AI Master coaches and join the prestigious AOI
(Ambassadors of Innovation) fellowship.
Key Parameters>
1. Training primary & secondary students on AI for Youth.
2. Retooling teachers to teach AI effectively.
3. Train and equip teachers to become Intel Certified AI Master Coaches and fellows
of the AoI (Ambassadors of innovation) program
Supporting schools in integrating AI into their curriculum.
4. Setting up AI labs and smart classrooms.
5. Making AI and Sim-enabled devices available to pupils
6. Encouraging student participation in local and international AI competitions.
1. AI 4 Youth Curriculum Integration:
Schools must introduce the AI 4 Youth courses in their curriculum and ensure that a minimum of 70% of the students take this program. This can also be an extracurricular program as long as the required percentage takes the program and gets certified
2. Digital Skills Training
80% of the teaching staff must complete the Teacher 4.0 program. These will offer the basic AI concepts and how teachers can effectively deploy tools and apps for teaching
3. Intel Certified Master Coaches
A minimum of 2 teachers from a school must be Intel-certified master coaches
1. AI 4 Youth Curriculum Integration:

2. Teacher Training and Certification:
80% of the teaching staff must complete Teacher 4.0 program. These will offer the basic AI concepts and how teachers can effectively deploy tools and apps for teaching
3. Intel-Certified Master coaches:
A minimum of 4 teachers from a school must be Intel-certified master coaches
4. AI Lab Setup:
Fully operational AI labs with high-speed internet, AI software, and educational hardware. Financial support will be available through our partner banks and other funding partners.
5. Participation in AI Competitions:
Students should participate in national and international competitions, showcasing innovative AI solutions to local problems.
1. The school will join an elite class of schools worldwide that have incorporated AI into their curriculum and preparing students for the future of work
2. Participate in national and International AI focused conferences where they get introduced to new AI technologies and tools for education
3. Opportunity to receive grants and funding to develop AI and technology resources in the schools
4. Participate in local and international AI competitions and enhance the school’s brand value. This can lead to higher enrolments
5. With the AI Lab, the school can run programs after school and on vacations for extra income
